Check the website for the latest information on the events program, the music program and all gardens this year.

Since acquiring Rustlings in 2000, Peter and Claudia Fisk have transformed it to create a wonderfully tranquil and inviting garden.

Brabourne and its surrounding garden occupy a commanding location and are known for magnificent trees and sweeping lawns.

We have two gardens open for the Festival - the Lady Fairfax Garden and the Margaret Stevens Garden.

The planting of this magnificent garden was begun by the Cox family in the 1950's, but the design today is largely attributable to the present owners, Robert Brain and Neal Blewett

Ewanrigg has featured in the Leura Gardens Festival for almost 50 years.

Everglades is the largest and most famous garden designed by Paul Sorensen, Australia's "Master Gardener".

The Braes Heritage Garden Estate is adjacent to the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park and lies between an urban environment and a semi-rural one, with views to the Southern Highlands.

Ilion is a layered garden which sweeps the street front with a magnificent New Dawn rose hedge.  This year we also present Waitangi which after seven years of negotiation and hard work is now complete.

A little bit on the wild side is what Tanglewood will always be.  Nevertheless, in a way, this adds to the ever-changing scenery.

At Blue Mist Paul Sorensen has established a magical garden, one full of visual delights and surprises.

Blue Vista is one of the original show gardens in Leura and has been included in this year's Leura Gardens Festival as a sentimental reminder of its history.

Leura Gardens Festival 2014

Celebrating 50 years of Spring in the Blue Mountains

Saturday 4th - Sunday 12th October 2014

The 2014 Leura Gardens Festival can only be described as the best ever, far exceeding our expectations in terms of both the huge number of visitors and the amount of money it has raised for our local hospital and other health related charities.

Thank you to the around 400 volunteers who worked tirelessly during the nine days; to the garden owners who allowed us to include their beautiful properties in this, our 50th year; to our key sponsors - Bendigo Bank, The Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, Mt Tomah, Katoomba RSL, Scenic World and Waldorf Leura Gardens Resort; to our horticultural speakers and all the musicians who freely took part in the afternoon concerts; to the local community for coming along and bringing your friends and relatives; and to all the visitors who came from far and wide just for the festival.

Roll on next year - save the date October 3-11, 2015

Ray Wiles
Leura Gardens Festival Committee

The Leura Gardens Festival is a registered charity managed and run by over 300 local volunteers. All funds raised go towards the purchase of equipment for the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital and other local medical foundations.
